These terms cover both the WAHEGURU Android app and this website (waheguruapp.com), operated by JustCall Tech Services LLP (LLPIN ACY-1685). By using either, you agree to the terms below.
WAHEGURU connects Sangat, Sevadars and Gurdwaras: Sangat members describe an occasion and are pointed to a suitable seva and Sevadar, Sevadars publish a profile and availability, and Gurdwaras and institutions manage a verified profile, programmes and seva openings. The app also carries a Gurbani reader, Hukamnama, Simran timer and Live Kirtan Darbaar. WAHEGURU is not a marketplace for payment and does not process any money, no purchases, subscriptions or in-app payments exist anywhere in the app.
As of this update, WAHEGURU is not yet generally available on Google Play or the App Store. Where this website shows figures, ranks, or scores, they are sample data for illustration, not real statistics, clearly marked as such.
You sign in with your mobile number and an OTP, no password. You are responsible for the accuracy of the profile information you provide (personal, Sevadar, or Gurdwara/institution) and for keeping your account secure. Don't impersonate a Gurdwara or institution you don't represent, don't submit false seva requests, and don't post content that isn't yours to share.
Feedback, ratings, seva requests, vacancy postings, and any Kirtan or Katha link you attach to your profile remain yours; you grant WAHEGURU the right to display them within the app to make the service work (e.g. showing your public Sevadar profile to other users, showing anonymised feedback about a completed seva). A Kirtan/Katha entry is a link to content you already host elsewhere; WAHEGURU does not host or claim ownership of that media.
Seva Rank and Trust Score are computed by our servers from completed seva and Sangat feedback only, and are never editable by any user directly. They are a neutral product signal, never a measure of religious standing. Verification badges reflect specific checks completed as of a stated date, not a permanent guarantee, and verification never blocks a Gurdwara or Sevadar from using the app, it only affects what's shown as verified.
Gurbani, Hukamnama and related scripture shown in the app come only from sourced, attributed material; WAHEGURU does not generate, complete, or paraphrase Gurbani. Live Kirtan is only ever shown when broadcast from an authorised source, never fabricated.
WAHEGURU is provided as-is. We don't guarantee that a seva request will be accepted, that a Sevadar or Gurdwara profile is error-free, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Use ordinary judgement, especially for anything time-sensitive or significant to you.
To the extent permitted by law, JustCall Tech Services LLP is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the app or website. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute is subject to the courts having jurisdiction over Thane, Maharashtra.
We may update these terms from time to time; we'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use WAHEGURU after a change means you accept the updated terms.
